HC-Driver-8 Board: 15 Amps per Output, 80 amps+ aggregate (total).
Note: The latest board with 15 amps per output was re-designed with much more copper and copper for heat sink for very high current application.
The 8 outputs of an HMS board (with 8 outputs) connect to the 8 'inputs' of this board. This board can be used to power the HMS Board if the +12 volts of the 10 pin terminal block is connected to the +V terminal of the HMS Board. These connections supply the operating voltage to the HMS board and a second power supply is not utilized (required). The circuitry on this 'high current driver board 'expands the current drive' capability of output of the HMS Board.
Outputs: Connect Loads between 'Output' and +V.
The Output current is limited by the terminal block rating (each output has to 'sink' the current to the 0V terminal of the block). So the high current is conducted to the 0V terminal. To get a higher aggregate current, connect suitable size wire (or wires) to the 0Volt connection with screws (screw hole provided for very high aggregate current). Attach each 'load wire' + to the power supply or use a 'wire nut' to connect them all to the +12V terminal of the power supply. Note: Almost no current actually goes into the +12Volt pin of the board accept for the 'protection diodes' which conduct for an instant when the output (mosfet) is turned off.
