RX_GPIO Board
Features:
Use this board for controlling the GPIO of a BrightSign using external serial device.
Note: This board can be configured with a terminal block for two wire serial connection (ground and TX). (consult HMS for this option).
Note: This board can be configured for TTL operation (consult HMS for this option).
Note: The standard computer DB9 connections (or USB-DB9 adapter) is pin 5 = ground, pin 3 = TX.
Control Byte:
Send a single byte to control GPIO-0 through GPIO-7. Sending a '1' sets GPIO-0 low causing a GPIO event. Only the signal going low causes the 'GPIO event'. You can leave the signal as is or send a zero after about 35 milliseconds. This 35 millisecond delay is needed because the BrightSign only polls the GPIO about every 30 milliseconds.
GPIO Bits
Add the numbers together to set any combination of GPIO pins to go low.
