Features:

• Relay 2 footprint (2.3 x 1.6 inches)
• Connect to BrightSign GPIO to drive 3V relays with isolated contacts
• 1 Relays with Isolated Outputs (Normally Open/Normally Closed Contacts)
• 2 Relays with Isolated Outputs (Normally Open Contacts)
• 'Snubber networks' included for EMI/RFI noise reduction.
• Use with the BrightSign 3.3V power

Outputs:

The relays are used to supply isolated outputs (switch closures) to remote devices or lamps.  U.L. Contact Ratings: 10 amps 120/240 VAC.

Operation:

Because the BrightSign powers up with 3V on the GPIO, a transistor is used to invert the high signal of the BrightSign to prevent operation of the relay until the GPIO of the BrightSign goes low.

Notice: When a BrightSign GPIO is set to output (see: Presentation Properties), the BrightSign output goes low (Off).  This output state turns the relay on.  Set the GPIO back to high (On) to turn the relay off.  If you need a relay interface that won't pulse the relay, then order the relay board with the microprocessor.  Link Schematic Relay-DR-S.pdf

TB1 Connections:

• Connect the BrightSign 3.3V to V+ on the board.
• Connect the GPIO's to 'K1 or K2' pins on the board
  Note: One GPIO output can drive both relays if required.
• Connect 0V of the BrightSign to 0V on the board.
