'USB-S3' (BrightSign Series 3 & 4) HMS Protocol Boards

USB or Serial or USB-Serial

It has been reported to me that some Series 4 BrightSigns won't invert the TTL-serial signals!

Consult the data sheet for 'Polarity' information.  Many of the boards with the 3.5mm serial jack have been updated to handle the 'RS232-C' signal levels.

See 'About Serial' if you have questions about the serial connection!

USB-S-16x16-DMX-AP

Price Each:  $168.00 (USD)

16 Inputs (buttons) and 16 Outputs w/Lamp Drivers + DMX512 Controller.  HMS Protocol for DMX fade control or 'Non HMS Protocol' for non-fade control of DMX.  3.5mm Stereo Jack for Series 3 & 4 machines. This 'AP' version has an updated processor with 'Polarity' detection of the serial pins.  With this version the BrightSign does not have to have the 'invert serial' feature to use the 3.5mm serial connection.

External 12-24V Power required.

Please inquire if you have a custom requirement for interfacing!  Turn around can be a little as two weeks.

Note: External Supply Voltage:  An External Power Supply is needed to power the loads on the output connector.  Do not connect any loads that have their own power that exceeds the power as applied to the board using the 'Ext. Power Connector'.  Doing so may result in damage to the board.  I.E. Suppose that 12 volts is supplied to this board and you have a relay board with it's own power of 24Volts DC that powers the relays.  The 24VDC will feed back into the board via the foldback diodes.  Note: Foldback diodes are required for inductive loads such as relays or small motors.  Some boards have a terminal block and require power supplies with -TB in the part number (cut, stripped, tinned for terminal block).  All others have 2.1mm power jack.
